Still woozy from her recent bemusing encounter with Neptune, our Chameleonic Lady suddenly finds herself strapped into a red-striped four-seat Cessna bound for Mars. Looking around, with a face paler than snow, something is amiss. “Where’s the pilot?” she cries. Dashboard meters are spinning aimlessly, and smoke escapes the plane’s tailpipe.
Feeling shaky in Aries's hot seat, Luna realizes she is still under Neptune’s spell via a contra-antiscia, or hidden opposition, just when she needs to get her act together. It’s fine to dream about far-off places and courageous adventures, but who's going to fly the plane!?
Transitioning from Pisces's nurturing oceanic realms to Aries's fire can sometimes be abrupt. It’s okay to linger under Neptune’s spell; just remember it’s temporary, at best, and you’ll have to face reality soon enough.
Coming to her senses, our sweating Silver Lady’s focus grows sharper as she jumps to the front seat and grabs the controls. “Right! I got this!” she resolutely declares. With fresh adrenaline pumping through her veins, Luna feels more alive than ever. Thrown into the hot seat, she meets the moment with a blend of wild improvisation and dashing bravery, a cherished formula in Aries’ realm.
I don't act, anyway. The stuff is all injected as we go along. My pictures are made without script or written directions of any kind. - Buster Keaton (Full Moon in Aries opposite Mars in Libra)
Guiding her hands, Sol’s light from Libra provides the necessary support. Focused on the present moment at the center of the emergency, Luna reacts and acts self-assuredly with absolute collectedness and lands the plane as if she does so twice a day. Nothing but a good crisis to show you how powerful you truly are!
Where does your courage come from, and how do you access it? Does it take a crisis to propel great acts, or can you find it in the quiet moments of need?
Helping herself out of the craft, Luna spots a parachute carrying a husky redhead to safe ground. A relentless barrage of swear words booms through the volcanic valley. It’s Ares, her host, unarmed and inadequate, as he surrenders to an aborted mission.
Mars, ruler of this Aries Full Moon, is conjoining the South Node, calling forth the first solar eclipse in Libra in two weeks’ time. Failure is an option. Loss is inevitable. And a crisis is an opportunity when we do the work. Take notice of the mysteries that lurk in the darkness. After all, Mars is residing in a place where the Lord of Darkness Saturn is elevated. Let passionate emotions guide you towards an enchanting change of perspective.

While Luna shines her bright light diplomatically, navigating a blinding flash of the obvious, Uranus is collecting the light of Mercury and Venus combined. With Mercury applying to perfect a trine and Venus a square to Uranus, clever creativity is expressed with an accent of eccentric astuteness. The mind may get overstimulated. There’s a danger of slipping into the trap of single-mindedness.
Is something trying to grab your attention? Dramatized emotional expressions can captivate those around you, but bold decisions based on trendy one-liners could have explosive consequences. Beware of overstepping boundaries or becoming too demanding. Flighty bursts of selfishness can do a world of harm.
Strictly speaking, we do not make decisions. Decisions make us. – José Saramago (Mercury trine Uranus, Venus square Uranus)
Consider this…
This is the last eclipse-free syzygy on the Aries/Libra axis before October 17, 2024. Nevertheless, this Full Moon in Aries may prove to be a drill for what’s coming. Make sure to check for rust and oil the gear before spreading your wings.
