Welcome to this guided body scan meditation for Libra season. Libra, an air sign ruled by Venus, governs balance, harmony, and relationships. Astrologically, Libra rules the lower back, kidneys, and skin, all parts of the body that symbolize balance and purification. This meditation will help you connect with these areas to promote peace and alignment. Let's begin.
Start by finding a comfortable seated or lying-down position. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, letting your chest and belly expand. Hold it for a moment, then exhale gently through your mouth, releasing any tension in your body. Take another deep breath, feeling your lungs fill up with fresh air. Imagine balance and harmony entering your body with each inhale, and tension leaving with each exhale. Let your breathing be slow and natural, finding your center in this moment of stillness.
Now, shift your awareness to your lower back, the area ruled by Libra. This is the foundation of balance in your body, supporting your posture and movement. Notice if there is any tightness or discomfort in this area, and with your next breath, imagine a warm, soothing light flowing into your lower back, releasing any tension. With each exhale, feel that light spreading, helping to ease any strain. Picture this area becoming more aligned and balanced, like the scales of Libra, restoring harmony to your body.
Next, bring your attention to your kidneys, located just above your waist on either side of your spine. The kidneys are associated with purification and balance, filtering out toxins, and maintaining internal harmony. Imagine a soft, cleansing energy surrounding your kidneys, helping to clear out any emotional or physical toxins. As you breathe in, feel this area growing lighter and more open, filled with vitality. With each exhale, release any stress or heaviness, allowing the energy of balance to flow through you.
Now, focus on your skin, the largest organ of your body and another area ruled by Libra. Your skin is your barrier, protecting and connecting you to the outside world. Visualize your skin glowing with a radiant, healthy light. Feel the sensation of your skin against your clothes or the air, and as you breathe in, imagine your skin absorbing peace and calm. Let any areas of discomfort, irritation, or imbalance dissolve as you exhale, leaving your skin feeling soft, refreshed, and in harmony with the world around you.
As we move toward the end of this body scan, take a moment to bring all these areas together—the lower back, kidneys, and skin. Imagine them working in perfect balance with each other, supporting your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Feel a deep sense of harmony throughout your entire body, from your head to your toes. With each inhale, draw in balance and peace, and with each exhale, let go of anything that disrupts this natural harmony.
When you're ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the room. Wiggle your fingers and toes, stretch if you need to, and take one final deep breath. When you open your eyes, carry this sense of balance with you through the rest of Libra season. Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
