October 8, 8:56 am – October 10, 2:02 pm (Your Time Zone)
Reinvigorated and ready to spin fire, Luna enters Aries just hours before the Sun fills her completely. Far from his place of exaltation, Helios sits in awe of this independent Mistress of Reflected Light. There’s a longing here, a desire for sovereignty and union, a need to know the magic formula that brings these polar opposites into equilibrium.
“How do you do that? How can you be so unabashedly yourself?” the Sun cries. Luna dazzles him with double-bodied flames, overseen by Mars in Gemini (trine to Neptune). “I’m a pioneer of curiosity and a lover of all,” she says. Flecks of golden sparks fill the night sky. “It takes courage,” she winks, “and a smidgeon of illusion.”
Generosity stokes the flames of desire as the Moon meets Jupiter. The fuller Luna gets the more apt she is to give up her secrets. It’s a tell-all Moon graced with the kind of healing that comes when we speak from the heart and honor each other’s differences. Behind the chimera of magic flames, is technique, years of practice, and a willingness to get burned.
As the Moon comes to Full on October 9 at 1:54 pm PT, transparency fosters connection. With a loving nod from Venus in domicile, air opposing fire, the spectacle of enlightened selfhood amazes and inspires; the heart coheres in a dance of autonomy and intimacy if we allow it.
Still aflame and ready to take risks, Luna forms a sextile to Saturn and then Mars. The impulse is opportunity, strategic planning, and forming new alliances with an open mind. Mesmerized, speaking in tongues, everyone oohs and aahs over the light show, except for one obstacle…
While sextile, Luna is also besieged by Saturn and Mars for seven hours. We dominate, overcommit, exaggerate, or overlook. The raw edge of vulnerability may leave us overwrought. All we can do is drop into the heart and breathe in our humanity, rest in humility. This is how we come back into balance.
Before leaving Aries, our fiery Moon dancer squares Pluto and summons the pantheon of cardinal planets to take a deep bow to his direct station. The future may not be clear, but we know Hades is marching straight for an epochal shift into Aquarius where revelations are revolutionary.
Tired and ready for rest, Luna extinguishes her fire wands. It’s time to let the experience wash over glistening embers and allow deep insights to emerge. We are better together, charred and all.
Consider this…
This is the last syzygy before eclipse season. Put your house in order the best you can. Practice interdependency. Changes are afoot and something’s gonna give. What do you need to do to become more resilient—physically, emotionally, or spiritually?
Today! Thank you Neva!
