Letting go is a process. It’s exhausting. Who knows better than a deep-diving Scorpio Moon? Invisible to her host, Mars, mired in the mind, the deep transformations catalyzed by the eclipses (yes, still) keep Luna’s light attuned to the instinctual and intuitive. Unable to cut and run without Mars’s assistance, our Lady of Soggy Stingers knows the only way over anything is through an ocean of emotion.
The rational mind does not always deliver the wisest counsel. How else do you access inner wisdom? A fixed, water Moon suggests somatic practices. Let the body float.
Making her first aspect, conjunct Ketu, a reservoir of past memories bubbles to the surface as Luna pages through old photo albums. Peeling back the layers of feelings, each face and landscape reminds her of how much she’s changed, the friends and lovers who have come and gone, and those she has lost.
But, of course, the Moon directs the tides to ebb and flow. Letting go allows room for new experiences. Opportunities rush in as the Moon forms a sextile to Venus in Capricorn, soon to make her heliacal rise on Dec. 22. Still absorbing life’s upsets since her starring role in October’s Scorpion solar eclipse, Venus is beginning to connect the dots. A new feeling washes across the pebbled sands.
In the midst of it all, Luna opposes the liberator, Uranus. Dare yourself to do something out-of-the-box, on purpose. Something that challenges fixed patterns.
In rapid succession, Mercury, the winged messenger, brings hidden desires to light. There’s much to be gained if you can express your feelings, strategically. There can also be unintended consequences. The square to Saturn will tell you, in no uncertain words, if you've crossed the line.
There’s a difference between intention and impact. A truthful but cold Saturnian approach may or may not fly.
Letting go feels surreal as our Waterlogged Lady slips into a trine with Neptune, just as Jupiter leaves his Piscean home. Doing her best to transform with grace, she surrenders to trust, discards old photos that no longer provide joy or reflect whom she is becoming. The parting sextile to Pluto affirms—exploring one’s inner life has great power.
Warmth and enthusiasm begin to rise. Luna’s album has room for more photos, and new adventures are just around the bend.
Consider this…
Emotional heavy lifting gives way to a new fire in the belly with Jupiter’s ingress into Aries. With Zeus as his guest through May 2023, Mars’s modus operandi is sure to bring pioneering ideas into action. Especially when Mars turns direct on January 12!
