Welcome the Blood Moon

Exalted in the sign of Taurus, and ready for anything, Luna meets her destiny—a potent transmission catalyzed by a Total Lunar Eclipse on November 8 at 3:01 am PT.

Feeling the weight of responsibility coursing through her veins, this Blood Moon knows that disruption and disclosure are deeply woven into the oracular fabric of these times. Much will change in the days and months to come as intractable fixed signs are challenged once more.

Grounded and confident, Luna beams her assurances to the people. “You’ve got this,” she says.

Venus sets the table in an octopi’s garden. The host of this Crimson Moon is still underwater in Scorpio guarding the holy grail. A central figure at the Solar Eclipse two weeks ago, this temptress has been scouring shipwrecks while in exile. Impelled by the Sun and South Node, she can hold her breath no longer. Coming to the surface, relics of relationships, desire, identity, truth, control, shame, and toxicity are discarded or polished for treasure.

Look to Venus’s heliacal rise on December 22 in Capricorn for a renewed and empowered Venus to find her voice and bring hope to the masses. With an exact trine to Uranus, and a contra-antiscia to Mars three days later, more systemic, dramatic revelations will provide plenty of juice for our actions.

A hunger for regeneration drives Luna’s instincts. At 16 degrees Taurus, exactly conjunct Uranus, square Saturn, and opposing Mercury (who is protected in the heart of the Sun), this North Node Eclipse is laden with pressure and possibility.

Solid earth turns to fluid motion as seismic activity rattles environmental, social, political, and cultural change. There’s nothing new here, we know we are living in the time of The Great Turning and yet, this final eclipse of 2022 is another inflection point, one that will continue to ripple out as Saturn moves into Pisces and Pluto dips into Aquarius for a sneak preview in March 2023.

Behaving slower than inclined in the sign of the Bull, Uranus takes advantage of this supercharged Full Moon to drive his agenda of liberation through disorder. There’s a now-or-never urgency tweaking our sense of reality as once-stable structures crumble. Activating the last vestiges of the Saturn Uranus square, even the oldest democracies, once sacrosanct, teeter on the edge of existence

Luna shines her eclipsed light toward an empowered Mercury Cazimi, the bearer of secrets to be told. Like Venus, this Messenger has been quietly surveying the dark corners of the personal and collective psyche. Communications of all kinds surface, some surreal and maddening, others innovative and exciting. Make room for brilliant insights and a lightning-quick capacity to embody new ways of being, whether by necessity or choice.

Once the Earth’s shadow has passed, and red fades to silver once more, the world feels different. The votes are in but not counted. The rules have changed but we don’t know what they are yet. Fuzzy facts and clouded thinking are pervasive thanks to the ongoing antics of Mars Rx applying once again to square Neptune. Whatever surprises come for the collective, or however you take hold of your life, acclimate slowly. Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor did it fall in a day. Wait for the fog to clear, if possible.

An eclipse on the North Node calls us into the future, but it also brings more drama and intensity. Make sure your fundamental needs for security are in place, to the best of your ability.  In times of uncertainty, let the natural world feed your soul.

Out Beyond Ideas

As the fates of balance and beneficence would have it, there is a respite from the intensity starting November 9 when Venus, then Mercury, trine Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces, followed by the Sun. Redemption, empathy, and compassion reign, dotted with lightning bugs of denial, for better and worse. By November 22, all three will reside in Sagittarius where Jupiter rejoices with the Goddess Fortuna.

Eclipses portend fated beginnings and endings and affect people and nations differently. Visible across Asia, Australia, the Americas, and the Pacific, you’ll be most impacted if you have planets or angles between 15°-19° in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius.

And while this is the closing of eclipses that have dominated in Taurus/Scorpio this year, solar and lunar eclipses will flip flop with Aries and Libra in 2023. All we experience now will have repercussions through October 2023.
