Man has gone out to explore other worlds and other civilizations without having explored his own labyrinth of dark passages and secret chambers, and without finding what lies behind doorways that he himself has sealed. - Stanisław Lem, from his Sci-Fi novel Solaris, 1961
How do we speak about Pluto’s entrance into Aquarius when no one alive today has ever experienced this outer, slow-moving planet in the Water Bearer’s sign? As mundane astrologers forecast, we could look back at historical events between 1777-1798 when revolution was in the air. Literally. Both the French and American Revolutions were fought during these times. (Take note of what is happening in France right now.)
If you enjoy a Mundane Astrology perspective, check out Dan Waites' video as he looks at Pluto’s transit in Aquarius, historically, through the Egyptian Bounds. Link here.
But that was then, and this is now.
What we can predict is that the next two decades will push the boundaries of what it means to be a humanoid living in an interconnected, multi-dimensional community amongst other-than-human realities. Technologically advanced, terrestrial, extraterrestrial, and artificial intelligence all mingling with consequences known and unknown. That’s a lot to think about, we know. Maybe we could pose the question to ChatGPT?
Fortunately, we have time to move slowly into the bowels of Pluto’s transformative mission. Pluto will only be in Aquarius now through June 11 and then will inch back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius until November 19, 2024. From there, it’s game on, and the revolution is as much internal as it is external.
Digging deeper, we can peer into the Lord of the Underworld’s significations. The wealth that oozes beneath the surface is Pluto’s domain—oil, minerals, mycelium, but also creepy crawly things, monsters under the bed, the unconscious, all things hidden and shadowy. Possessing Kali energy, Pluto rules the cycles of creation and destruction. Expect volcanic, eye-popping transformations unfolding over time.
Add in Aquarius’s enigmatic toss. The Water Bearer has come to represent humanity and the promise of the human experiment. Like the motto of Star Trek, “to go where no man has gone before,” there’s a penchant for progress, for better and worse, and a deep desire for liberation. As we continue to ride the waves of late-stage capitalism, Pluto in Aquarius will see the rise of the masses seeking a world that works for everyone. What gifts will you mine to contribute to this epochal shift? Aliens aside, we are the ones we have been waiting for.
Consider this…
We are living in powerfully transformative times. What is brewing beneath the surface for you? How will you bring as much awareness and consciousness as possible to the hidden edges of reality? Pay attention to these next three months both on the world stage and in your personal life. A planet’s ingress speaks to the genesis of more to come. Explore your own “labyrinth of dark passages and secret chambers.” Ask the hard questions. Find your people. Look before you leap.

Dan Waites is really pulling out the stops on mundane astrology. His videos are masterful.
Oh how the AI takeover worries me!
