Thanks so much Bryan! Who was the astrologer you studied with? I believe I first framed the Zodiac this way through an evolutionary astrology lens when I studied with Sabrina Monarch, but I can’t quite remember. Its always been a storyline of the circle that I find quite compelling and relatable! I agree with those ages, and think the later signs obviousl vary depending on the lifespan at different times in history, so theres no set age for each phase exactly.

Just followed your Substack- i’m on a similar timeline of ‘coming out’ in the astro world and relate to your stories!

A lovely article that connected me to the sensual, earthy delights of Taurus Season. Thank you for writing it.

I have a question about the section on the connection between Taurus Season and the cycles of life. A few years ago I studied under an astrologer who introduced me to this concept of attaching the Zodiac to the human life cycle and I’ve always found it a useful way to understand the archetypes, but I’ve also found some disagreement among astrologers about the precise connections. My question is do you know where the concept came from? Or who the first astrologers were to share it?

From my POV, I connect Taurus to the early toddler years, maybe age 2-4, when humans begin to get comfortable in their bodies and when the world is still highly centered on themselves. Then, I put Gemini into about age 5-8, when we first start to really socialize, we go out into the world of school and early learning and realize we are part of a society. That’s just how I think about it now but I’m eager to connect with other astrologers to play with these ideas!
